Module 1: Theoretical Part (18 units)

Participants will explore key issues in teaching and learning. The certificate program includes the development of trauma-sensitive competencies in teaching. This aspect aims to equip educators with the necessary skills to implement trauma-sensitive approaches in their teaching, fostering a learning environment that prioritizes safety and support.
Furthermore, the program promote the integration of AI tools and digital resources into teaching to enhance the quality of education. This aims to empower educators to utilize innovative technologies for more efficient and effective knowledge transfer. Emphasis will continue to be placed on developing writing skills in teaching, as writing is a fundamental cultural skill for academic education.

Participants are offered workshops on the following topics:

1. Integration of AI in education and academic writing;
2. Trauma-sensitive approach in teaching;
3. Integration of digital tools in the learning process.

To obtain a certificate, participants must accumulate 18 units. Each workshop counts for 2 units*, or working units. Participants must choose at least two workshops from Topic 1, two workshops from Topic 2, and three workshops from Topic 3.
While participants can attend all workshops if they wish, only the selected topics will count toward the certificate.

You are supposed to write a reflection for attended workshops. You can use these questions as a guideline.
Please note that you should write a reflection only for those workshops that you want to include in your certificate.

Module 2: Practical Part (20 units)

The second part involves your own contributions. Together with the expertise of Ukrainian educators, we aim to further develop the Viadrina Online Learning Lab. This platform provides free materials to users, with the goal of enhancing teaching and learning. Managed and updated by the Center for Teaching and Learning at the European University Viadrina, it seeks to create a platform designed to promote diverse teaching methods and inspire learning. Your task is to create content for the Viadrina Online Lab. As educators, you are required to produce two contributions (content) for the Viadrina Online Lab, drawing on your expertise and experience, and based on scientific sources: one for your fellow educators and one for the students.

Another task is to include your reflections, written after each workshop session you attended, which you wish to include in your certificate.

*1 unit = 45 min.

Програма сертифікації включає розвиток компетентностей у викладанні, спрямованих на врахування травматичного досвіду. Цей аспект спрямований на забезпечення педагогів необхідними навичками для впровадження травмасенситивних підходів у викладанні, створюючи навчальне середовище, що пріоритетно захищає безпеку та підтримку.
Програма сприяє інтеграції інструментів штучного інтелекту та цифрових ресурсів у викладання з метою підвищення якості освіти. Це спрямовано на надання педагогам можливості використовувати інноваційні технології для більш ефективної передачі знань.

Учасникам пропонуються майстер-класи з наступних тем:

1. Інтеграція штучного інтелекту в освіту та академічне письмо;
2. Травмасенситивний підхід у навчанні;
3. Інтеграція цифрових інструментів у процес навчання.

Для отримання сертифіката учасники повинні набрати 18 одиниць. Кожен заняття приносить 2 робочі одиниці*. Учасники повинні обрати принаймні  два семінари з Теми 1, два семінари з Теми 2 та три семінари з Теми 3.

Учасники можуть відвідати всі заходи, якщо вони бажають, однак до сертифіката будуть враховані лише обрані теми.

Вам потрібно написати відгук на відвідані семінари. Ви можете використовувати ці питання як орієнтир. Зверніть увагу, що слід писати відгук лише на ті семінари, які ви хочете включити у свій сертифікат.

Integrating AI into Academic Writing. A Practical Workshop for Educators (in English, 2 units)

In the wake of significant hype and discussions about the disruptive potential of AI technology in academia, many questions remain unanswered. This workshop is designed for educators seeking clarity and direction on integrating AI into their teaching and research practices.

The workshop will leverage visual aids, prompts, and group discussions to familiarize attendees with the current debate around AI's role in the university environment, particularly text generation applications. We will discuss the necessity of incorporating AI into learning scenarios to enhance students' AI competencies, addressing educators' concerns and apprehensions about engaging with this technology.

A key focus will be on equipping educators with in-depth knowledge of writing with AI, including effective prompting techniques. The aim is for participants to not only understand the mechanics of AI-assisted writing but also to confidently transfer this knowledge to their students through seminars and other teaching formats. Оскільки у вас немає доступу до платформи Mahara, ви можете надіслати свої матеріали у форматі PDF або у вигляді презентації на платформі Canva тощо. Якщо ви згодні, ми перенесемо ваші матеріали на Mahara з підтвердженням авторських прав.
